I bought two of Westinghouse 7861500 Contempra Trio Three-Light 42-Inch Five-Blade Ceiling Fan for the bedrooms of the condo we just moved into. The rooms had the ceiling wiring but no lights. These ceiling lights made the room very bright, and the fans worked great, have setting for warm and cool weather.

You can choose between the dark wood color or a tan color on the blades and the picture really can't do it justice. Just be aware, as others have stated, you need the small base bulbs for these. This is not an adjustable "ball" hanging unit so, if your ceiling and/or wiring box are not level by too many degrees, you may either have a problem with the fan blade connectors hitting the housing cover or the fan making noise.

Westinghouse 7861500 Contempra Trio Three-Light Ceiling Fan is low cost and ease of installation are the main reasons for this choice. It takes about an hour to remove old fixture and install this unit. The reason I gave it 5 stars is the quality of the bearing system, I have the fan installed secure and level running at medium speed and it makes not noise at all.

Most applications for this type of fan would be in a bedroom or small living area it will work great for that. 42" once assembled . Again runs very smooth no noise and no vibration that is much more important that looks I feel.
