Upon purchasing this Minka Aire F517-WH Concept I 52 in. Indoor Ceiling Fan, I now own 3 Minka Aire fans. The build quality on this one is bit lower than the others in that there are minor imperfections in the frosting of the white globe.

Minka Aire F517-WH Concept Fan looks great in the guest room and seems to work well. Aside from it's aesthetics, I like that it's remote controlled and has a dimmer. The light is a little under-powered for larger rooms. The guest room is 12x14 and the light is sufficient, but not bright at full brightness.

Our ceilings are 11 feet high and we used the standard 6 inch down rod. This seems to provide ample room for air movement without making the fan constantly be in our line of sight. The blades are perfectly balanced and the motor runs much quieter than that of the Hampton Bay fan it replaced.

Price was very good and I am happy with my purchase. My other Minka Aire fans are Airus models, they are now 6 years old and still run flawlessly. The bedroom is 12x14 and the light is much dimmer. It should be fine unless you are looking to light up the entire room brightly enough to say, clean the carpets or something of that sort.

The air movement is incredible. With the 3 blades, it cools the 16 X 20 room that it's in along with an adjacent 8 X 10 office. To summarize, it's nice looking, sleek and modern (but will really complement almost any décor), and works better than any ceiling fan I've ever seen. And did I mention - totally silent!!

Minka customer service has proven to be excellent. Minka sent out a replacement part at no charge after a short phone call. The fan is lifetime guaranteed, so it is great investment!
