| Reviews Emerson CF955BS Midway Eco Energy Star Indoor Ceiling Fan, 54-Inch Blade Span, Brushed Steel Finish, Midnight Bordeaux Blades and Opal Matte Glass Expensive to buy, cheap to run |
- The most energy efficient ceiling fan on the market with the use of Emerson EcoMotor
- Only uses 17.5-Watt of energy
- 29 Degree airfoil blade pitch at the housing
- Integrated light fixture uses four 13-Watt GU24 fluorescent bulbs
- Six-speed LED remote control; wall control adaptable
I wanted a fan with florescent lights (not halogen or incandescent) for low energy use and low heat. Was willing to give up dimming for that. I bought this fan because I'm an efficiency freak, but I really like the contemporary styling, too. It's a welcome change from all those Casablanca-style fans out there.
It really moves a lot of air - it has 6 speeds, but I can't imagine using anything above '4' unless your ceiling is at least 10' high. It is perfectly balanced, with no wobble on any of the speeds. The unit gives off quite a bit of light, so very satisfied.
Being in new orleans with no power is no joke during the summertime after a hurricane. The Emerson CF955BS blades are composite, so there are no worries about warping or imbalance due to moisture. I will be purchasing two more for my living room....after i save enough money or rob a bank :)
